Markus Manz is the president of Comprehensive Cancer Center Zurich and clinical director of the Medical Oncology and Hematology clinic of University Hospital Zurich. His research is focused on hematopoietic and immune system development, homeostasis and function, as well as on hematology-lymphoid disease. His lab’s aim is to gain basic knowledge and to provoke practical new strategies for clinical intervention in states of infection, malignancy, and transplantation of hematopoietic cells. Markus Manz is recipient of the Swissbridge Award, San-Salvatore Foundation Award, Otto Nägeli Award and Cloetta Award.
