Carsten Müller-Tidow is the director of the clinic for Hematology, Oncology and Rheumatology. His research focuses primarily on leukemia, lymphoma, and related diseases of the blood and lymphatic system. In an experimental setting, he investigates tumor development and metastasis, as well as the epigenetic mechanisms involved. By using this gained knowledge, his group’s aim is to develop new therapeutic approaches. His scientific work is supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the German Cancer Aid Foundation (DKH), the German Jose Carreras Leukemia Foundation, the Wilhelm Sander Foundation, the Fresenius Foundation and the European Union (ERC), among others.
